A new blog. HOORAY!

Ah, need to dust the cobwebs off of this blog. :)

I was beyond excited for the session with Emily. I always look forward to shoots that are just the subject and I...it becomes more of a fun hang with a friend than an uncomfortable meeting with a stranger who has a camera ;)  Though I'm not really that strange. Haha :)

The shoot was, of course, awesome. And I had an absolute BLAST! The photos are incredible and a testament to Em's beauty and poise!

I will leave you with the quote of the day:

"Poison Ivy is temporary. Photos are forever."

Thats right. We got pretty philosophically deep on this shoot ;) ENJOY!

The BIG 3!

This little fella had just turned 3 when I took his photos. And did I ever love getting to take those photos! Mainly because he made me work for each one I got. He was a little uneasy upon arrival, and rightfully so, a strange lady was shoving a camera in his face! But that my friend, is why I brought the balloons. I am not afraid to bribe children into having fun ;-) I do it all the time with my niece and nephew. But my favorite part of him being unsure of me was getting all the different facial expressions. And every one of them was c-u-t-e!!! Enjoy :)

Good day :)

Ahh, today was a good day! This morning I met with a fellow 'photog'  in town to discuss different 'photog' things. (I like typing/saying 'photog') I brought along my younger sister to serve as a subject, but the fellow photog and I spent more time talking than shooting (we're female!!)
So, after the little "meeting of the minds" ;-) I took my sister through Arby's, then out to give her a little more attention than I had previously! :-)
I wanted to go for something a little bit different this time. I have plenty of pictures of my little sister smiling and being all cute, which she so naturally is :-). I've been wanting to get a canvas printed out...like a  HUGE one...and I want it to be more of a piece of art, than a headshot. So I thought I'd see what I could get today.

   ENJOY :-)

First post (hopefully not the last :-)

I've been meaning to start a blog for ages! Finally, I have somewhat, put one together :) One small step, right? So here we go....

Little miss Lindsay.

I have been photographing this little one, literally, since she came into the world. And I have to say, it seems to have only become more difficult! She's never been one to give the camera too much attention, but when she learned to walk, I lost my battle. The sessions usually consist of me chasing, tripping, falling, panting, after her short little legs. For the life of me, I don't know how she covers ground the way she does!

This last session was scheduled to get some shots for her upcoming birthday invites! Even though this time was no different than any other, and I ended up with pit stains...I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the photos. Though who wouldn't be? I mean look at that cute little mug!

I look forward to MANY more birthdays and MANY more photos with this little one! I could go for a little less sweating, but if it's absolutely necessary, I'll do what I have to do :)

Be Well,
Erin
